In Marintec China 2009, the Senior Maritime Forum ran concurrently from 30 November - 2 December 2009 in the Sofitel Shanghai Jin Jiang Oriental Pudong. Over 30 renowned maritime professionals and leaders travelled across the continent, gathered together and shared with attendees their cutting edge perspectives on the industry. The “China Summit on International Ocean Engineering Equipment” was a highlight among several forums. Mr. Wei Jiafu, the Chairman, China Shipowners Association, and President, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO), was one of the renowned speakers in the Shipping and Finance Industries section. His unique and sharp sharing upon the trend on world shipping industry, inspired the attendees with new insights. Under the current industry atmosphere, everyone is keen to search for new opportunities. Attendees were able to gain fresh pieces of information as the forum provided concrete analysis on different maritime aspects, which were always insightful and practical to their future development as well as sharpening their competitiveness in the industry.
