Silberschmidt:

Good afternoon. Very nice to see you here at Marintec China 2023. We had a little gap in 2019 so it gives them time. For people to. Get ready with the new business. New exciting news. Very pleased with all. Bob, can you please tell us a little bit about the company?

Absolutely. And thank you very much for having us. So, our company is Silverstream technologies. I’m the founder and the CEO. We started in 2010. We have innovative and developed at scale application technology for commercial shipping. And what does that mean? We have a technology that uses micro bubbles that goes into the boundary layer on the bubble of the bulk of the ship. It goes in there because it saves the frictional resistance so it saves fuel, so it typically, net saves about 5 to 10% for all commercial ships. That’s a huge number of 5 to 10% and so that’s how business Silverstream technology is, not just.

Duck:

That’s very impressive.

When you talk about fuel saving, there are lots of different fuels that are about to come into the market. How do you see this? Changing in terms of what? You are.

Silberschmidt:

So you are actually right. There’s a great push towards new fuels, lower emitting fuels. And that supply chain will be set up and that transition is happening. If you want to save fuel emissions today, you need to go for proven technology like ours. But in the future, when newer fuels are coming in, they will. Be more. And they will have less calorific value for the same tank size part. So, I think that efficiency of the vessels is going to be still very, very, very high on the list on what matters for the best. For this.

Duck:

So, China today is the largest public shipful exceeding now family of Korea. How do you see the China market in the next 5-10 years? The shipbuilders continue on this road? Or the technologies that are being developed come back.

Silberschmidt:

So I’m very impressed with Chinese shipbuilding. I’m very impressed with the speed in this country can decide on that and apply. This is the reason why we have spent the last four years building our office here. So now we are 25 local people in Shanghai servicing our customer base. On top of that, we are building our supply chain. So now we have our full supply chain in country so we can deliver quicker. We can work with the shipyards and customers so, so, so for us. Extremely important market. We are doing similar initiatives in other countries that have a similar shipbuilding focus. Also, a big market and a lot of installations in Singapore and so on and in Europe.

Duck:

Very exciting.

Also in addition to great news about the company, you have other news, exceedingly important recognition to your company.

Silberschmidt:

Building as a federal grant, you might. Also like the fact that this year on Financial Times, a big financial newspaper, on their list of the thousand fastest growing companies in Europe. Ceiling technologies is #4 on that list as opposed to we’re very happy about that great privilege and because we have been that successful and exporting quite a lot out of the United Kingdom, we were also invited to receive the King’s award. King Charles and just giving us an award for enterprise in the UK, so things are going well. I think we can keep it up and we look forward to being here and seeing you again next year.

Duck:

OK, that’s very good. Congratulations, fantastic year for you

Silberschmidt:

Thank you so much. Thank you.
